Here are the steps for creating your own custom cover sheets:
- Locate the "C:\Program Files\MPC\MegaPhon\Fax\User\" folder.
This is where the cover pages MegaPhone uses are stored by default.
In this folder you'll find pairs of files with the extensions ".tif" and ".ini".
- Duplicate one of the pairs of files (e.g. "cover.tif" and "cover.ini"),
and then rename them so that they have exactly the same name, leaving the
extensions ".tif" and ".ini". For example, rename "copy of cover.ini" to
"mycover.ini" and "copy of cover.tif" to "mycover.tif"
- Use any TIFF graphics editor (such as PhotoShop) to change the ".tif" file
(e.g. "mycover.tif") as desired. Most graphic editors support the
appropriate TIFF formats for editing. Be sure to save the file in the same
format that it was in when you opened it.
- Edit the ".ini" file to position the fields as desired, with the fonts
adjusted as desired. This will likely take some trial and error.
- The new cover sheet will be available next time you send a fax from MegaPhone.
