We've spent months testing MegaPhone 2002 to ensure that you have a trouble-free experience installing and using it. However, the most important thing our testing has determined is that most Windows installation disks and most computers include Modem drivers that are out of date. MegaPhone uses the Windows TAPI API in order to access your telephony hardware. In turn, Microsoft's TAPI implementation for modems requires that you obtain and install the latest modem drivers and firmware. In our experience, MegaPhone will not take full advantage of your modem, and may not work as intended, unless you perform this upgrade to make your modem fully compatible with the version of Windows that you are running. If you've ever upgraded your computer's operating system you probably need new modem software. BEFORE running MegaPhone be sure to update BOTH your modem's FIRMWARE and install the latest DRIVERS and/or .INF file.
